I'm not afraid of heights. Honestly. But I AM afraid of falling - it's probably my biggest fear since drowning. Watching this made my heart stop, especially when done in slow-mo.

its tottally retarted when i sky dived.. your parachute NEVER opens until your clear of the plane and around 200 feet before hitting ground to open up your parachute.

I'm not afraid of heights, I actually like the falling sensation, it's the what if something went wrong SPLAT at the end that scares the hell outta me. I will go on any Roller Coaster in the world at least once, But I can't see the thrill in jumping out of a perfectly good airplane or tying my ankles to an oversized rubberband.

A friend of mine went diving. Ended up in the hostpital right afterwards. Because the parachute cracked his nuts, or at least thats what he told me.

well unless they were a totally crazy group that dosnt care about safety one bit(which sorta seems to be true) you ALWAYS have an emergency chute. I mean in order to do all of these you have to take a really long class, and then there are regulations for safety and all that crap. So to me it lookes like the guy was drunk or on drugs or it was all staged.

I dont really think that falling from sucha height is a horrible death. Its fast...not very painful, i recon. Drowning is worse.

OUCHIEEE!!!! I remember those climbing harnesses for rock climbing hurt enough, but a parachute opening and getting a sudden crunch there *shudders* I don't think I'm ever gonna go now - unless they make a special harness for me.

If you're wrapping your nuts around the leg straps of the harness, you're putting it on wrong. When I first put on a rock climbing harness, I noticed something was off. A quick re-arrangement later, I was all set to rapel.
